In this section you will see the pictorial story of the construction of the latest addition to the Studio/Workshop that is the home of Norton Garden Structures.
The building was designed by Stan Keeler, and the majority of the work has been carried out by him over several of years. At this time the shell of the building is finished and the interior is being completed.
The frame of the building is made in Douglas Fir from North America and the walls are made of SIPs, (Structural Insulated Panels). The roof is made of a different type of SIP with a plasterboard finish on the internal face, and finished in a clay tile.
Apart from providing further space for the business the building also acts as a reference for potential clients to see the quality of design and construction that Norton Garden Structures aims to achieve. As all work has been bespoke there has never been reference for clients to see.
